The production of material-usable materials and basic chemicals must become efficient and independent of fossil resources. At the same time, it should be regionally integrable. For this, technologies are needed for the synergistic linking of energy and material value chains. Climate change requires a more forward-looking approach to the available resources and innovations for greater resource efficiency. It is important to support the economy in its efforts by developing appropriate processes to close material cycles and reintegrate recycled raw materials into the cycle - as well as to use new, sustainable raw materials and materials for processes.
